Let the children hold their breath till they turn blue,  we're the adults here.  (And if Senior Citizens have to pick between food and fuel,  more the better.  The roads would be 10 times safer)

I personally look forward to watching all these entitlement programs crash and burn,  I'm tired of feeding the poorly prepared and lazy.

Weekend Filler

First chance we've had all summer to fix up the yard.  The wife and I have edged, weeded and mulched the whole property.  20 ish yards of mulch later,  I've got nothing for the interwebz, but Amanda found something to entertain y'all.

Independence Day

I wish I could post something happy and meaningful about celebrating freedom today,  but given that launching fireworks,  having a bonfire*, and modifying the diesel on my truck are all illegal,  I'm just not feeling it.

Laws be damned anyhow,  and I'll do all of those,  the 4th is a fine day to celebrate in the Wookie suit.  



* How fucked up is that?  The .gov goes out of their way to regulate a tool that did as much to put us on the top of the food chain as the damned wheel.  Bastards.

We're back.

 Nearly 2000 miles later,  we're back.  (And in time for fireworks!)    AAR later,  just so y'all don't think we've died/ and are ignoring this place.
