I keep saying I'll keep up with this, then it fails to happen. Being in the schoolhouse here doesn't help either. We're doing like 4 Cisco certs in as many months. I'm expected to be done with my CCNA, A+, and I forget the other cert in under 120 days. Much cramming going on.
So anyway, I don't have a MASTERFUL April fools gag like my brother from another mother Jay G , But the tilecrawlers over at BEQ (people that manage the barracks) got a fast one in on us. It was Thursday afternoon. The day prior, we played musical rooms, and everyone had to move. So by that point we'd all just started to get things unpacked and settled in. The whole process is a royal PITA, and everyone was still pissed off about it. ( I had to pack all of my shit and move a whole 6 doors down, gay)
So it's the day after, and we all had to be outside of the room to sign for it after lunch ( basically, you tell them whats wrong with it, get accountability for who lives there, and sign off) So as we're waiting for the NCO to come by with clipboard, the BEQ manager herself comes by and says "hope y'all didn't get too comfortable, because you're moving again in 30 min". (This is greeted with a loud, pissed off chorus of profanity and annoyed Marines) Fuck us, pretty much. We wait by the hatch for the BEQ Sgt, and as she hits each room, she says (quietly, so not to warn the rest) " I'm not here this weekend to get you, so April fools!".
She got us good :P
